Expeditioners - BETA
A downloadable game
EXPEDITIONERS TTRPG
Dwarfen Survival in the Underground
In Expeditioners, the players take on the roles of Dwarfs who live in the Underground and work with the Expeditions Guild, a wide-spanning organization that focuses on finding resources, delivering messages, and exploring dangerous locations. Living in the Underground is harsh and dangerous, so the pressure is on the Expeditions Guild to find vital resources and find safe passages through the tunnels for the Dwarfen Cities to survive.
Surviving in the Underground is not just about finding food and water. Other threats lurk in the caves of the Upper Depths, such as dangerous Trolls and mischievous Goblins. Darker things scavenge the Lower Depths, and who knows what terrors you might find in the Chthonic Abyss. The Overground is only slightly less terrifying, what with its vast open space and greedy inhabitants. Dangers exist aplenty for any Dwarf.

The Features
Expeditioners is a survival game for 2 or more players, where one will take the role of the Dwarf Guide to handle the game's management while the other players create their Player Dwarfs to risk their lives in the caverns.
These are some of the game's features:
- D6 dicepool mechanics: Whenever you want to take a direct action, you make an action roll by rolling a number of six-sided dice based on your Core Trait and other bonuses. Any die that comes up as either 5 or 6 is a Strike that counts towards Hitting the Mark.
- Simplified resource management: Your resources (rations, bandages, components, etc.) are all handled as Shares that fill up your Inventory. You start with a limited number of Shares, and you can only carry a certain amount, so be careful not to starve to death.
- Quick Dwarf creation: Making a Dwarf is quick so you can get a short game going faster. It is also handy in case you suddenly need to make a new Dwarf character.
- Simple adversary system: In Expeditioners, adversaries use a simple mechanic that allows you to make threats quick and with short notice.
- Painful combat system: Dwarfs suffer Pain in this game, and Pain takes time to heal. Without a healer, a badly injured Dwarf will surely die in the caverns.
- Exciting expeditions: Every expedition is given a number of milestones that the Expeditioners must complete in order to reach their destination, and every milestone introduces a different challenge. The Dwarfs can avoid the challenge, but only at a cost.
